How can you translate Ziel? goal, aim, target

These words are often used to mean the same thing.

But, think of them like this:

Such and So are words that can be so confusing!

Germlish = We talked about so special topics in our meeting.

What you want to say: We talked about such special topics in our meeting.

So and Such

What they do: Intensify adjectives

So

1. Use so before adjectives that do not have a noun after them, and before adverbs.

The tree is so big (adjective)

He gets up so late (adverb)

2. Use so with many and much

so many + plural noun

There were so many people at the airport.

so much + uncountable noun

Why does gas (petrol) cost so much money?

Such

1. Use such + a/an before an adjective + a singular noun

He is such a nice (adjective) person (singular noun)

2. Use such + (adjective) before a plural noun or an uncountable noun

That guy has such big feet!

We had such a good time at the party.

3. such a lot of + plural noun

There were such a lot of people at the airport.

4. such a lot of + uncountable noun

They had such a lot of work to do.
